National cross-industry Fall armyworm RD&E facilitation
Hort Innovation, GRDC, CRDC, AgriFutures and Dairy Australia propose to co-fund a dedicated resource (to be employed within and managed by Hort Innovation) that will create a single focal point of coordination for Fall armyworm (FAW) RD&E across Australia.
The Facilitator would focus on integrating cross-sectoral R&D efforts to achieve the following objectives:
1. Ensuring that research needs are effectively communicated and translated between practice and research investment.
2. Enhancing the development and promotion of sustainable best management practices for FAW applicable to a variety of crops, growing conditions, and regions.
