Mozzie Mapping
Vector-borne diseases such as pinkeye and Theileria, along with gastrointestinal parasites, cause significant health and production losses, and reports indicate their geographical and seasonal occurrence is increasing in Australia. To address this, the project proposes creating a seasonal outlook service to identify high-risk periods, enabling farmers to take targeted preventative actions. Current tools are fragmented and fail to meet the comprehensive needs of the dairy industry, highlighting the need for a simple, tailored solution that consolidates data, predicts risks, and empowers farmers to make informed, proactive decisions suited to dairy farm conditions.
