Projects
Managing workforce diversity and inclusion in the Australian meat processing industry to attract, engage and retain employees, and enhance psychosocial and cultural safety.
This project will examine how Australian meat processing workplaces can improve attraction, retention and engagement, reduce turnover, and promote psychosocial safety and wellbeing and cultural safety of its diverse workforce, including First Nations employees, through inclusive employment practices.
A systematic review will identify relevant evidence-based research, theory, and workplace best practices. The project will examine the current state of diversity, inclusion, psychosocial safety, and cultural safety, in the meat processing industry, through an audit of existing metrics, policies, practices, and strategies, and through the lived experiences of employees and leaders/managers. Areas for intervention will be developed, with a set of evidence-based recommendations.
