Managing Farm Costs

Farm Business Snapshot (FBS) is a practical tool designed to help farmers understand their cost of production by providing an accessible entry point to business analysis compared to DairyBase, enabling users to assess historical performance, compare cash and profit positions against regional benchmarks, and identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to improve profitability and manage risk. This project focuses on embedding its use across the industry through capability building within the DA team, raising external awareness, and delivering extension workshops (online and face-to-face) supported by packaged resources to ensure farmers can realise its full benefits.
