LEAP4Beef - Module L4B02 Project 1 - Cube Roll chining cell pre-production concept prototype

LEAP4Beef is focused on deboning and packing of chilled beef carcasses and in 2024 the first pre-production in plant concept prototype cell as part of this strategy was successfully developed and installed for demonstration at JBS Brooklyn assessing the required automation principles to achieve automated striploin chine processing. This “real-world” processing demonstration and ongoing production trials has proven invaluable at informing LEAP4Beef automation strategies. This project will leverage the current unit installed at JBS Brooklyn, the L4B01 Module - Striploin Chine Bone Removal unit and make the required modifications to the cell to evaluate how the LFB01 module can be evolved into a LFB02 - Cube Roll chining module. This is the most cost-effective way to commence the development of the LFB02 Cube Roll Chine Removal module. The success of this project will provide the steering group including Scott with the information required to develop a LFB02 Cube Roll production prototype module design and inform the LEAP4Beef strategy moving forward.
