Incorporation of Blue Trace eID hardware and systems into a small stock operation for traceability and monitoring

BlueTrace are a provider of eID readers and traceability systems. This project will investigate the capacity of BlueTrace to be incorporated within plants as an eID traceablity provider. Fletchers have been in discussions with NSW DPI & BlueTrace to undertake a trial/demo of their sheep counting cameras. Pending the success of BlueTrace's counting cameras, Fletchers are interested in pursuing further opportunities for tracking and monitoring, both in the yards and on the floor. Further stages of this idea could include verifying BlueTrace's capacity to count sheep, including multiple raceways, track individual sheep or pen/mobs and compare to human counting , health and injury monitoring, live weight predictions, wool length/type prediction, automatic drafting and pen allocation. BlueTrace's eID traceability systems have been installed in several processing plants across Australia, including JBS and MC Herd. However to our knowledge they are yet to delve into the further stage ideas listed above.
