Improving wool's environmental standing

The Wool LCA Technical Advisory Group (TAG) is a global expert body advising AWI and IWTO on improving wool life cycle assessment methods, metrics, and data to accurately represent wool’s environmental performance. This project extends the TAG Chair’s consultancy to run meetings, guide R&D and advocacy, and build on prior full supply-chain LCA work that identified hotspots and refined measurement through sensitivity and uncertainty analysis. It will also strengthen wool’s position in emerging assessment schemes (e.g., EU PEF, Ecobalyse), evaluate SBTi-related risks/opportunities, and help prioritise LCA strategy while EU PEF is deferred.
