Gipps Dairy - Rethinking Q Fever

Dairy Australia seeks to strengthen collaboration with RDPs and maximize Commonwealth matching funds for RD&E projects. GippsDairy has secured external funding to deliver a Q Fever prevention project from FY24–FY27 and requests matching support to expand it nationally. Q Fever is a preventable disease posing serious health risks to agricultural workers. The project aims to reduce notifications in Gippsland by improving awareness, vaccination access, and addressing barriers to prevention, while generating insights and system improvements that can be shared across all dairy regions to enhance workforce health and safety.
