Farmers2Founders FY21

Startup tools and tactics present a transformational opportunity for Australian food and fibre and  unlock new pathways to commercialise innovative and disruptive new products, services, and  business models. But to solve real problems in the agrifood and fibre sector, and to respond to high  value opportunities in domestic and international markets, producers must play a central role in  the innovation process. In other words, producers need to be more than just customers of agrifood  innovation- they must be at the center.

Farmers2Founders (F2F) puts primary producers at the center of agrifood innovation by creating  pathways for producers to get involved. By starting with producers, F2F ensure there is focus on  real problems, not flashy technologies or slick pitches. F2F's: pathways include:
  • The Ideas Program, for producers who have an idea for a new off-farm business, but aren’t sure if it’s worth pursuing or how to get started;
  • The Bootcamp Program, for producers who have an existing off-farm business, but need support to grow outside their local area; and
  • The Early Adopter Program, for producers who want to engage with agtech more strategically, but don’t want to build their own startup.
