Projects
Energy-sufficient meat processing plant
The objective of the project is to demonstrate that meat processing plants can become energy self-sufficient by utilising reliable renewable energy technologies. It is also about identifying any gaps that require further research.
The project will consider;
- deploy-ability for varying sizes of processing plants;
- opportunities to reduce or eliminate energy market exposure;
- industry sustainability and social licence to operate; and
- options to integrate new technologies and improve industry infrastructure.
The final report will include an implementation roadmap infographic, project SnapShot, full business case (including ROI and based on the industry partner processing site). In addition a 3-5 minute explainer video will be provided to graphically summarise the report.
