Efficiency opportunities in rapid cooling of trim - A cost and environmental comparison of CO2, N2 efficiencies, and a new tube chiller system
This project will evaluate the relevant current plant operations for gas contact rapid cooling of trim, and scope the potential for efficiency (i.e. capture & reuse of sublimated gas from dry ice) & productivity gains (i.e. on site production of N2 via direct air capture).
It will also consider alternatives to food grade CO2 & N2 gas contact rapid cooling systems, with a new to industry plate contact rapid cooling system called Hive.
