This project determined the value of the live cattle export industry to regional zones across Australia. The scope included: 1. full-time equivalent employment numbers 2. the structure of the value chain across zones 3. level of reliance businesses involved in the live export trade have regarding the proportion of their revenues they earn from the live cattle trade 4. the reasons why Australian offshore trade partners have an interest to continue importing live cattle.
