Durable resistance to Oat crown rust [CSIRO].
Oat is attacked by two rust diseases: crown rust and stem rust. The pathogens that cause these diseases do not infect other cereal crops. Crown rust reduces oat yield and causes thin kernels with low test weight - factors which greatly reduce milling quality. This investment delivers a desktop analysis and production of a report detailing current international sources of resistance to oat crown rust and their relative value to improving durable resistance to oat crown rust in Australia.
