Development of strategic RD&E Plan for the Australian Native Finger Lime industry

Through its major participants and stakeholders this project will develop an RD&E plan for the Australian finger lime Industry to address and carry out activities such as genetic breeding programs, addressing currently identified value chain barriers and coordination of industry participation connectivity through disseminating information through a communication strategy. Incorporating prioritised industry needs over the next five years through consultation with current industry participants. These will include genetics, particularly yield, hardiness, fruit size through species breeding and selection and supply chain management from harvest to wholesale and retail customers. Development needs will be examined and prioritised. In addition, the industry export process will be reviewed.
