Development of honeybee products from a biodiversity hotspot

The endemic flora of Western Australia represents a biodiversity hot spot and provides the opportunity for beekeepers to create unique honey products with different health attributes. This investment will characterise the chemistry composition of honeys from WA flora including assessment of antimicrobial properties. The data will inform the potential to develop value-added products based on the unique composition of WA honey.
