Development and evaluation of Automated Robotic AI 3-cut Beef Scribing System on varying cattle type.

This project aims to further develop automated AI beef scribing to enhance technology capabilities improving industry adoption potential by developing and installing at plant in NSW. The system will be designed to operate with the significant variation in carcases from previous work and typical of animal type processed by the plant and many other beef processors. Fundamentally this project utilises the same technology developed as part of 2022-1185 - the AI scribing system developed at Kilcoy with new developments incorporating: • Improved and smaller footprint design of system (enhance adoption capability) • System utilises One cutting robot for vertical and horizontal cutting • Design variants to accommodate cycle time using one cutting robot only. • New Cut Specifications • Presentation of beef side is different from previous work (pre-work) • Variation of carcass mix (size, breeds, region) • All new AI algorithms to accommodate cutting cycle and cut specifications.
