Decisions to optimise investment in fertiliser and soil ameliorants

Profitable Grazing Systems (PGS) is one of Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA)’s adoption programs, which will drive measurable, improved business performance outcomes for participating red meat producers by developing and improving their skillsets based on a set curriculum for a variety of areas, including improved feed base and pasture quality and productivity. This project created the Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA)-owned supported learning project (SLP) documentation and plan for the PGS package that will develop the skills and confidence of producers to take soil tests, interpret the results and apply the most appropriate fertiliser and soil nutrients to optimise business return.
