DairyBio Animal - Massive throughput phenotyping for complex traits in dairy cattle

Continuation of existing projects (Improving Herds and MIR for Profit) with a focus on delivering technology on-farm. Key prjoject outcomes include mid-infrared (MIR) prediction of probability of conception in high and low fertility cows, MIR prediction of metabolites indicative of early lactation disease, the comparison of lameness scores and the MIR prediction of these scores, refining MIR prediction of fertility and conducting field trials with DataGene and conducting detailed analysis of high and low fertility cows.
