Dairy Tas – Dairy Farm Manager/2IC Course

Dairy Australia aims to strengthen collaboration with RDPs and maximize leverage of Commonwealth matching funds for eligible RD&E projects. Dairy Tas has secured funds from the Tasmanian Government to deliver the Dairy Farm Manager/2IC Course in FY26, addressing a critical skills gap driven by Tasmania’s larger-than-average dairy farms and reliance on a multicultural workforce seeking upskilling but facing challenges in leadership and adapting to local workplace culture. This gap threatens industry growth and sustainability, and the proposed course will build technical and cultural capabilities, support workforce retention, and align with government priorities for regional development and agricultural competitiveness.
