Cotton Landcare Tech Innovations: Improved natural capital (biodiversity) on Australian cotton farms

This project is part of the National Landcare Program’s Smart Farming Partnerships initiative. It aims to build on international best practice to implement and develop cutting-edge technologies to help Australian cotton better report on and improve on-farm biodiversity. The project aims to improve the capacity for cost-effective revegetation on cotton farms by trialling new and improved revegetation methods using drone and tractor technology. A drone, developed by Dendra Systems (formally BioCarbon Engineering) using technology built at Oxford University, with the capacity to plant a hectare of trees in less than twenty minutes is one of the innovative revegetation methods to be trialled.
