Contribution to the CRC-P for Cloning tea tree to produce low methyl eugenol
This project aims to clone tea tree plants with desirable low methyl-eugenol content to overcome the slow response time of bringing product changes to market through plant breeding and subsequent production of tea tree oil. Low methyl-eugenol content is a prerequisite to ensure that tea tree oil used in the production of cosmetics and topical agents can be delivered below legislated safety thresholds for key markets.
