Bone Belt Monitoring In-line validation and demonstration - Vision RGB Stage 3-4

This project is a collaborative project for Australian and Danish beef processors. A cost-effective vision monitoring solution for bone belt monitoring is developed and validated in-line. A high-end Vision (RGB) solution is build, and installed as a working prototype at two processing lines for continuous delivery of KPI’s by using AI models recognizing bone segments and estimating the amount of remaining meat. This will support management and operators to continuously improve yields in the boning room based on data. The solution targets to estimate meat to bone ratio and to identify - by recognition - key bone segments with high amount of remaining meat. The solution will increase yield recovery with more red meat sold to consumers increasing the overall value return within the supply chain.
