Biosecurity preparedness for Oriental Fruit Fly and exotic fruit flies

This project will assess and strengthen the biosecurity preparedness of Australia for Oriental Fruit Fly (OFF) by undertaking a detailed risk assessment, to increase awareness of potential impacts through OFF incursions from the Australian horticulture industries, to prepare plans for Australia’s horticulture sector to prevent and manage potential incursions of OFF, including protocols for the movement of goods in an infected area, and to develop a communication plan with national and international fruit fly related experts and organisations.
