Australian Pastures Genebank - Phase 3

The Australian Pastures Genebank (APG) Phase 1 was established in 2013 and operates under the framework of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. It has been administered by SARDI at the University of Adelaide- Waite Campus. The APG stores small quantities of mandated germplasm and related information available for food and agricultural Scientific Research, Plant Breeding and Genetic resource conservation and education. The APG operates with the funding and In-kind support supplied by RDC’ s (AWI, MLA, GRDC, DA and Agrifutures), State DPI’s and the Federal Government. Phase 3 will continue to provide the ongoing collection, storage and regeneration of the mandated germplasm to international standards.
