Assessing SCL technology for reading and recording smallstock EID tags

The implementation of EID across the Australian small stock processors is becoming mandatory. Despite EID been used in small stock within Victoria for some years a recent AMPC funded project evaluated Allflex EID hardware and software for recording smallstock EID tags which highlighted that there were still learnings. As an extension to this work, AMPC is committed to evaluating alternative technologies to ensure small stock processors are well equipped and are able to deliver optimal systems for industry. To achieve this AMPC is working with 2 processors to assess Blue Trace hardware and software and 2 processors to access the SCL hardware and software. then there is a overarching project to independently evaluate all the outcomes. The current proposal is to work with Beaufort River Meats to assess SCL technology.
