Animal welfare monitoring in multi-species abattoirs using AI and CCTV

This project seeks to develop and implement an AI-driven CCTV system to monitor and ensure the welfare of calves, sheep, lambs, and goats in a processing plant. The project aims to create a case study on how (multi-species) abattoirs can enhance business culture and public perception by leveraging objective data. Using AI, the project will provide a benchmark for both animal welfare improvements, training technology adoption, and data security standards to mitigate hacking and data risk.
