AGVET Commonwealth Agreement (ID 4-B14CTJ9) i) Control of Brassica & ii) Control of Teratosphaeria Leaf Disease

The Agvet Code is part of a cooperative statutory scheme in place for the evaluation, registration and control of agricultural and veterinary chemical products. The APVMA is an independent statutory authority of the Commonwealth responsible for the regulation and control of agvet chemicals in Australia up to the point of retail sale. This project will evaluate three herbicides in a screening trial followed by the main trial that will determine the most appropriate herbicide at current label rates of application: Treatments are both foliar and soil applied (when applicable) at two times of the year in Autumn and Spring. Further trials are planned to examine fungicide rates and application timing. In particular, rates that are suitable for plantation forests will be decided in consultation with the APVMA.
