AGTS Wool Bioharvesting
AGTS proposes to undertake research, development, trialing and commercialisation of a fully integrated Bio-harvesting system. The design will incorporate animal positioning/handling, collection and transfer to the bale. It is anticipated that Stage 1 will be evaluating the fibre-severence capabilities, using regulated tangential pneumatic force via multiple air-blades. This can be initially evaluated without the need to access research sheep, but through AGTS computer modelling based on the predicted tensile strength of the weakened wool (provided by the University of Adelaide) and experimental trials of measured air-force and angle to acheive severance, provided through AGTS partner Spray Nozzle Engineering.
