Agricultural Health and Safety Statistics
This project aims to track annual statistics on farm deaths and injuries. Agriculture is recognised as a highly dangerous sector worldwide, hence the use of evidence based solutions to address injury related incidents are critical to prevention. Data from the National Coroner's Information System and other sources on unintentional farm injury and deaths in Australia will be assessed. The information will also provide categorise the leading causes of death (tractors, quads, water/dams, farm utilities, motorcycles and horses, as well as general farm safety information such as projections of economic costs associated with these incidents.
