Ag-Tech uptake project- enabling farmers to understand and utilize useful ag tech developments.

The project aimed to enhance financial sustainability, productivity, and on-farm benefits for farmers by promoting the adoption of agricultural technologies. It focused on improving decision-making around timings, reducing and optimizing chemical usage, managing resistance, and enhancing water use efficiency through ag-tech solutions. The project also emphasized the use of NDVI imaging and developing plans to utilize available technologies.

The program included guest speakers and demonstrations at the Buckleboo Farm Improvement Group (BFIG) Annual Crop Walk day and a follow-up day. Key speakers showcased Green on Green camera spraying applications, discussed efficient data use and practical ag-tech solutions, and addressed ag-tech solutions for water use efficiency.

The follow-up day featured discussions on integrating ag-tech into seeding applications and provided time for individual growers to discuss their experiences and ask questions.

The project successfully exposed BFIG members to new ideas and practices from leading technological experts, fostering discussions and relationships that led to improvements in farming system management. The Ag Tech Information Day saw high attendance and positive feedback, with 96% of respondents reporting increased knowledge of available ag technologies and 85% planning to implement something from the day.
