Advancing innovation in micro to medium meat processors in Queensland

This project is investigating the evolution and enhancement of the Queensland Country Meat Processors Association (QCMPA) to better support and serve innovation in micro to medium-sized meat processors in Queensland. The focus is on incorporating a QCMPA 'champion' into the current Innovation Manager Program 2023-2025 to adopt changes and improvements in QCMPA programs, specifically targeting the twice yearly workshops and the Young Guns training program. The aim is to address the changing needs of the industry, such as issues related to leadership, diversity, attraction, retention, training, safety, industry-government contact, biosecurity, animal welfare, energy efficiency, environmental outcomes, and increase member support and engagement. The project seeks to engage various industry partners and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support and collaboration.
