Adapting Dairy Farming Systems

The objective of this project is to provide farmers and their advisers with robust, evidence-based information to support decision-making when considering changes in feedbase alternatives, cattle feeding infrastructure, and housing systems. It includes a decision support process designed to identify and mitigate risks before capital investment and farm system changes occur, while also optimising infrastructure use post-investment. Additionally, it connects farmers with Australian service providers recognised for expertise in intensive farming systems and cattle housing design, and offers strategic industry recognition and support for those currently using or planning to adopt intensive feeding or housing systems.
