UK Agri-Tech Centre
Funded as part of the UK Government’s Agri-Tech Strategy, the UK Agri-Tech Centre has over 300 members bridging the gap between government, academia and industry across the agri-food sector in the UK and globally. Our purpose is to enable innovative and resilient agri-systems that adapt to ever changing global challenges affecting agriculture and its partner industries, positively impacting the planet and driving economic growth for the UK. Our ecosystem is the only innovation centre that can deliver whole chain, science-based solutions at scale and connect such an outstanding breadth of science, industry, and policy across the UK. Our expertise covers a range of focus areas including crop science, animal health, precision engineering and aquaculture.
As the go-to enabler, we work with businesses, scientists and engineers to turn their ideas into new products and services that will generate economic growth and help tackle grand challenges including suitability, food security, disease pressures and productivity. We offer a wide range of support: from supplying project and grant management services, technology business incubators and technical expertise to developing new international links, as well as establishing key industry partnerships and being a soft-landing pad for overseas companies looking to expand in the UK.
