University of Canterbury Computer Vision (Te Puna Tirohanga Rorohiko) is a research group in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering headed by Professor Richard Green. We currently comprise of three different but related projects at various stages:
- An autonomous many-camera vineyard/orchard scanner for 3D plant reconstruction and monitoring, with applications towards robotics and yield estimation.
- An underwater scanner for mussel farms and scallop seabeds.
- A drone-based tree pruning tool. It is used for pruning forestry crops and hard-to-access branches around powerlines.
