Startupbootcamp FoodTech Tasmania

Startupbootcamp is a global network of industry-focused accelerator programs designed to empower early-stage startups across various sectors. One of its notable initiatives is the FoodTech Tasmania program, which focuses on accelerating innovation in the food, aquaculture, and agriculture technology sectors.

The FoodTech Tasmania program, is a 3-month intensive accelerator that aims to support high-potential and ambitious early-stage startups in the Food, Aqua, and AgriTech sectors. Based in Launceston, one of UNESCO's Creative Cities of Gastronomy, the program offers a unique opportunity for global startups to work with some of Australia's most innovative food companies.

The program aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and emphasizes the Circular Economy, value addition to Australia's produce, and innovative technologies to improve efficiency and sustainability in food processing, labor, and supply chain systems.

Startupbootcamp's accelerator programs have an impressive track record, having accelerated over 1,700 startups globally, with 73% of their portfolio companies still active. Alumni of their programs have raised an average of $2.8 million per startup, with a total of $2.99 billion raised across all alumni.

The FoodTech Tasmania program is led by Managing Director Tom Woolley, a seasoned food executive and strategic advisor with over 20 years of transactional experience.
