Moa is an agricultural biotech firm based in the UK and spun out of Oxford University in 2017. Our world-class team of scientists and industry experts is developing a new generation of modern, safe, affordable and effective herbicides to tackle the growing problem of weed resistance. In the last three years we have already discovered more than 70 novel herbicidal modes of action, and have several advanced products in international field trials which are demonstrating excellent efficacy against some of the world’s toughest crop-killing grass and broadleaf weeds.

We are excited about the significant potential our herbicides have to help Australian farmers protect their harvests, and to that end we currently have multiple field trials underway in NSW, Queensland, Victoria and Tasmania. In June 2024 we signed an exclusive partnership with Nufarm to co-develop one of our herbicides. This has further strengthened our interest in building relationships with agronomists, farming communities and investors to develop the best possible herbicides for the needs of Australian farmers.
