iBOXiT
iBOXiT is a UK-based agri-tech innovation company transforming the way cold chain packaging is produced, used, and disposed of. We develop patented, compostable packaging made from agricultural waste, designed to replace expanded polystyrene (EPS) across seafood, fresh produce, and broader cold chain logistics. Our solutions meet the same insulation and strength requirements as EPS, but are fully compostable, marine-safe, and cost-competitive—enabling the agrifood industry to eliminate single-use plastics without compromising performance.
iBOXiT also offers Zyvex®, a plant-based antimicrobial spray that extends the shelf life of fresh food by up to 14 days, helping producers and exporters reduce spoilage, improve quality, and lower emissions linked to food waste.
Our innovation contributes to Australian agrifood through:
- Research and development in circular bio-based materials and shelf-life extension
- Innovation in logistics and packaging for temperature-sensitive exports
- Investment readiness for scaling sustainable infrastructure and partnerships in Asia-Pacific
We are particularly focused on collaboration with seafood exporters, fruit and vegetable producers, cold chain operators, and packaging manufacturers in Australia. With climate pressures, export distances, and tightening global plastic regulations, Australian agrifood businesses are seeking scalable, regulation-ready alternatives—and we are ready to deliver.
We welcome partnerships for market trials, licensing, manufacturing, or joint research into materials, packaging, and waste valorisation. Our mission is to enable agrifood producers to transition to compostable packaging at scale, improve food system resilience, and contribute to a truly circular economy.
