Forest Park Farms

Forest Park Farms (Pvt) Ltd is a purpose-driven agribusiness initiative dedicated to transforming traditional farming into a profitable, sustainable, and inclusive livelihood model for rural communities. Based in Sri Lanka, our vision is to “Farm the Future of Agriculture” by creating scalable and replicable farming ecosystems that empower smallholder farmers — particularly women and youth — to thrive.

We want to specialize in developing controlled environment agriculture (CEA) systems such as polytunnels, greenhouses, and protected open-field plots, designed to minimize crop failure caused by pests, climate change, and diseases. By integrating modern agricultural techniques with training and capacity-building, we ensure that even the most marginalized rural populations can become successful agri-entrepreneurs.

Our approach is deeply community-centric. We work with government institutions, NGOs, and private partners to create self-sustaining agricultural communities, focused on food security, women's empowerment, youth employment, and poverty alleviation, and stop people migration — all while aligning with national and global sustainability and climate resilience goals.

Forest Park Farms welcomes partnerships with academic institutions to:

• Conduct research on sustainable agriculture, climate-smart farming, and rural livelihoods
• Develop training modules for farmer education and agri-entrepreneurship
• Collaborate on impact assessments, climate studies, and pilot projects
• Engage in student and faculty exchange programs focused on field immersion and innovation

We are actively expanding our model across multiple countries, including Ethiopia, Senegal, and Timor-Leste, and we invite the academic and research community to join us in shaping a resilient and inclusive global farming future.
