Economic Team NL Diplomatic mission Australia The Economic Team (four members in Sydney, one in Canberra) covers all trade and investment related matters across Australia. Its mission is to promote economic relations between the Netherlands and Australia in a broad sense. Such relations comprise government-to-government, knowledge-to-knowledge and business-to-business components. Overall, the Team’s principal objective is to identify opportunities for Dutch businesses in the Australian market.
In this context, the Team will continue to position the Netherlands as a leader in sustainability and innovation and emphasize the Dutch entrepreneurial and collaborative approach to business. At the same time, the team will also stimulate Australian companies’ interest in the Dutch market with an eye to a robust and balanced mutual relationship. In this respect, the Team coordinates with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency/NFIA’s representation located in the Consulate-General in Sydney. The Team is available to support all Dutch exporting companies, including those who are preparing to establish a presence in the Australian market. Services include:

- Market entry advise and finding business partners
- Help to understand Australia’s regulatory framework
- Facilitate trade missions and networking events
- Guidance on trade promotion instruments
- Exploring possibilities for market research
