Carbonaught
Carbonaught is an Australian early-stage company driving innovation and research within the agrifood sector. We focus on applying enhanced rock weathering—a carbon removal technology—to agriculture, improving soil health, reducing reliance on synthetic fertilisers, and permanently removing carbon.
In partnership with producers, universities, government, and food corporates, we convert climate-smart concepts into economically responsible projects that integrate seamlessly into existing farming operations. With more than a dozen pilots underway across the USA and Australia, we ensure these low-emission approaches deliver measurable benefits—cutting input costs, enhancing competitiveness, improving soil quality, and strengthening supply chains.
We invest heavily in our own R&D capabilities, collaborating with leading research institutions and utilising federal grants to refine application methods, optimise nutrient cycling, and accurately quantify carbon removal. These efforts inform stakeholders across the agrifood value chain, enabling them to unlock new revenue streams while enhancing resilience and productivity.
We focus on industries such as grains, horticulture, and sugar, where enhanced weathering can bolster soil fertility and yield improvements.
Our mission is to support Australian agriculture in transitioning towards a more sustainable, resource-efficient future.
