Tier IV: integrating automation into agricultural machinery and on‑farm operations

Opportunity for

  • Collaboration partners across the agrifood supply chain who are interested in integrating automation into agricultural machinery and on‑farm operations including:

    • Agricultural machinery manufacturers

    • Farmers, feedlots, and operators looking to explore automation solutions for off‑road agricultural environments.

Opportunity description

Industry challenge

Across agriculture there are labour shortages, safety risks, and operational inefficiencies that continue to place pressure on producers and agricultural businesses. Automation presents a significant opportunity to reduce manual labour requirements, improve safety outcomes, and enhance productivity across diverse production systems including red meat, cropping, and livestock operations. Feedlots and other high-intensity agricultural sites are particularly impacted and stand to benefit from reliable, scalable autonomous technologies.

Current opportunity

TIER IV are participants of the Landing Pad program at evokeAG 2026 in Melbourne and are seeking partnerships across multiple sectors including:

  • Partnerships with agricultural machinery manufacturers (e.g., tractor, equipment, and off‑road vehicle producers).

  • Engagement with feedlots, farmers, and agricultural operators experiencing operational challenges that could be addressed through automation.

  • Organisations exploring new versions of automated machinery or looking to integrate autonomous capability into existing platforms.

To submit your interest, enquire now through growAG or find them in Startup Alley at evokeAG 17-18th February 2026.

Opportunity background

Tier IV have deployed agricultural automation projects in Australia, including a successful first-stage partnership in Dalby, Queensland focused on automating feedlot machinery. A second project phase is now underway.

TIER IV’s autonomous driving technology has global applications, and the company is actively expanding its presence in Australia. Its work spans automation for four‑wheel, off‑road agricultural machinery suited to livestock systems, cropping environments, and broader agricultural contexts.
