Wild Dog Community Engagement
Greater understanding of the capacity and motivations of rural communities to engage in vertebrate pest management is fundamental to delivering effective community led and coordinated control programs. Community engagement practice that encourage adoption of best practice wild dog management techniques and community lead management programs have improved significantly in the past five years, however there is still a reliance on stakeholders acknowledging the need for assistance. This project will accelerate sustainable landholder-led participation in best practice wild dog management techniques through application of behavioural science and targeted engagement.
