Validation and implementation of rapid test kits for detection of OsHV-1

This project aims to support the monitoring of outbreaks of Pacific Oyster Mortality Syndrome caused by the virus OsHV-1 by validating and implementing a rapid test kit for detection of the disease.The project will review available technology, select a candidate approach, and implement an OsHV-1 test using the preferred platform. It will test samples in parallel with qPCR to assess the sensitivity and specificity of the rapid test platform and provide guidelines and instructions for use its use.
