Tech Tooling Soil and Plant Health

The Project is targeted towards landholders interested in managing their soils for sustained production and maintenance of ecosystems integrity. The emergence of soil related emphasis i.e. soil carbon accumulation / prospective trading under ERF, Drought Management, Stewardship and net zero emissions attainment at the farm systems level is demanding greater awareness and verification of tracking. A low cost entry point is portable hand held technology suited for quick reference to support decision making. The project seeks to fulfil this demand and deliver basic awareness, training and networking opportunities for landholders to access and become familiar with the usage of such. The extension and adoption elements of the project is aligned with the R&D studies related to soil health, plant interactions and system approaches the COBWA Group is doing in collaboration with the WA Grower Group Alliance network and regional NRM Group Wheatbelt NR.
