Optimising ranging behaviour by free-range meat chickens

By altering rearing environments, early life experience and providing resources on the range, this investment aims to increase the number of chickens that access an outdoor range, increase the frequency and duration of visits to the range area and improve chicken distribution on the range. An increased in range use is expected to improve welfare, productivity and consumer trust in chicken production.
