Northern Rice Australia - Developing Rice Growing Packages for TropicalNorth Aus

"This project aims to assist in increasing the scale of the northern Australia rice industry through advancements in:
  (i) Understanding and reducing key barriers to successful large-scale rice production in northern Australia in terms of pests, diseases, agronomy and farming system management.
  (ii) Identifying improved agronomic practices, farming systems and rice varieties to lift northern rice yields by addressing constraints while minimising environmental impact.
  (iii) Improving the skills of rice growers and RD&E staff in northern Australia through the development of crop management packages."
