Innovation & Technology to Improve Natural Disaster Management

For the ongoing growth and environmental sustainability of the agriculture, fisheries and forestry sector, Australian rural industries need to implement new technologies and innovations to improve their response and resilience to natural disasters. This project will review innovation and technologies to improve Natural Disaster Management and will characterise: (i) Practical innovations and technologies available to improve rural industries’ natural disaster management, recovery and resilience; (ii) Potential impacts of these technologies on agricultural businesses, including the commercial impact; and (iii) Barriers to adoption including the regional and policy environment required for adoption.
