Innovating communications for accelerated growth in emerging industries

CQUniversity will develop and implement customised communications strategies for each of the six emerging industries identified by AgriFutures.
These strategy documents will include:
Clearly defined target audiences
Key messages detailing the value propositions of the industry for those audiences
Practical, affordable and effective tools and channels for delivering the messages to the target audiences, and
A creative approach that will capture awareness and grow engagement in the emerging industry, utilising novel and emerging extension practices such as creative non-fiction storytelling techniques, nudge theory and working with agents of change.
CQU will work hand in hand with AgriFutures' project team and the industry leaders to engage stakeholders and leverage their experience and networks as a means of raising awareness and increasing adoption. This collaborative approach will ensure messages address the motivators of the target audiences, as well as empower the industry bodies for the long-term.
Finally, CQU researchers will assess the methods used in each of the six strategies to provide a comparative analysis of their impact. The insights and recommendations from this report will assist AgriFutures in supporting future emerging industries in designing effective and innovative extension programs.
