Improving Biosecurity Resources and Better Understanding Bee Health in Australia
Biosecurity planning provides a mechanism for the Australian honeybee industry, government and other relevant stakeholders to assess current biosecurity practices and future biosecurity needs. Planning identifies procedures that can be put in place to reduce the chance of pests reaching our borders or minimise the impact if a pest incursion occurs. This project is based on improving biosecurity resources for the honey bee industry in relation to the Biosecurity Code of Practice (CoP) and National Bee Biosecurity Program, as well as better understanding bee health in Australia.
