Farming Systems & Agronomic Changes For Integration of Long Coleoptile Wheat in the West Region
This investment is intended to provide growers with knowledge on the risks and benefits associated with using longer coleoptile wheat. The trials proposed will focus on better understanding the long coleoptile trait impact on time to emergence, soil temperature, planting depth and their combined effect on crop establishment in the targeted environments. It will also be used as a platform to facilitate grower and adviser discussions on the agronomic, nutrition, farming systems and crop protection (weeds, pest and disease) consideration to guide future research involving long coleoptile wheats.
